We picture this: {black & white}

This is my first entry to the we picture {this} website. This is my daughter Juliet who is a twin and 6 years old. Maybe next time I will show Jasmine :-)
We were asking her questions while shooting and by this one she had to think for a while...

I also have another blog where I do post about our daily lives. Living as a global nomad with adopted twins from Thailand. At the moment we are in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I ♥ Faces, week 9: Creative Crop

It's Monday again and the theme for I ♥ Faces this week is: 'Creative Crop'. I chose this picture of Juliet where she is on Sheffield Beach, South Africa with her twin sister. This was Thanksgiving weekend 2008 and I was trying to find a good shot for our Xmas greeting. I love how Juliet's face glows from the sun, so soft and warm...





First one the creative crop, second the original. The sun was setting but it was still strong, so the girls had a bit of red eyes from looking into the sun, for the crop we edited this a bit. (thanks Suzy!)

I ♥ Faces ~ Week 7 Theme - “B&W”

I am looking forward to Mondays these days, since we can participate in a new theme on the I ♥ Faces blog. It is so much fun to see what everybody comes up with, all these cute faces, great compositions, beautiful lighting...just amazing!



This week the theme is Black and White, and this picture is not only B&W but Jasmine and Juliet are also wearing B&W dresses. So the contrast is really nice. We asked the girls while shooting away: "Who has a boyfriend" ;-) and the answer was: "She.....Me!" How funny that at the same time they answered the question correct and also pointed right... the girls are so funny and it is a blast to take pictures of them! I am not really that active on this blog yet. But soon when I have my own photo studio at home I will be posting more.

The only thing that I start doing on this blog is posting a picture every Monday on the blog I ♥ Faces. I just love that website, it is such a cool concept. So check out my entry for tomorrow, the theme is Black and White.
